Fall was made for apple crisp. At least in our home. In college I was guilty of buying the boxed apple crisp next to the apples. It was until last year that I realized how quick it is to just do it from scratch without the box.

Recipe:

Preheat oven to 375*

- 6-8 apples peeled and cut into cubes

- 3/4 cup sugar

- 2 TBLSP flour

- 1 TBLSP cinnamon

- Pinch of salt

Mix in a bowl and place in 9x13 pan. I prefer my apple crisp thicker so I use a smaller pan. Set aside.

In another bowl mix together:

- 1 3/4 cup quick oats

- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 1 1/2 cup flour

- Pinch of baking soda

- Pinch of baking powder

- 3/4 cup margarine or butter cut into small cubes.

Place crumbs on top of apple mixture and bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve hot or cold with ice cream!
