As the Holidays draw near...and Superbowl is just around the corner, I thought I would post one of my most crowd pleasing appetizer recipes. This recipe is actually a family recipe adapted from my sweet southern mama. We love it because you can make it kid friendly, or give it a kick. There are endless ways to mix it up, and it is really just to die for.

Here's What You Need:

-1 Large Sour dough bread bowl, or dutch oven will work

-1/2 Cup sour cream

-1 1/2 Cup light mayo

-2 Cups shredding cheddar

-1/2 Large red onion, or yellow finely chopped. I use red to add some color

-1 Medium red bell pepper finely chopped

-6-8 Bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

-1/2 tsp garlic powder

-crushed red pepper flakes and ground black pepper to taste

Here's What You Do:

Hollow out bread and set aside.

To chop veggies you can use a food processor to save on time.

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Stuff bread bowl until full. Wrap tightly with tin foil.

Bake at 350* for 1 hour

Serve with bread slices or crackers.
