Cleaning Hack

You may have noticed our site has been fairly quiet the last few weeks. Although we are still posting lots of fun ideas and tips on Instagram (go follow us if you are not @rootsandwingsnw), we have not been able to post much here. We are both in the process of some big life changes. Jaylin moved to Phoenix, and is very missed in the PNW, and my little family is gearing up to sell our little starter home and move on to the next big thing. Flipping a house has been so much fun, and although I'm not brave enough to share tutorials for some of our remodels, I will definitely post some before and afters to inspire you!
As I am getting the house ready be placed on the market this week, I had to stop and share this cleaning hack with you! My mother in law actually shared this with me originally, so thanks mom! I was so shocked at how well it worked, and it has saved me hours of stress and scrubbing.
Here's What You Need:
-White Vinegar
-Dawn Dish Soap (must be dawn)
-Borax
-Sponge or something to scrub a little with
-Large Spray Bottle
Mix Dawn and Vinegar into spray bottle 1:1, but I usually just squirt a good amount of Dawn and dilute it with the Vinegar.
Here's What You Do:
-Get your shower, sink, bathtub, or whatever you are cleaning wet. We live in the county, so hard water is a struggle in our home. This cleans it faster than anything I have found in a store.
-Sprinkle the surface with Borax.
-Sprinkle more!! You want it to cover pretty evenly.
-Spray with Dawn and Vinegar mixture ALL OVER the surface
Let set for 5-10 minutes
Start scrubbing! Use a circular motion. Rinse if needed to see where you still need to get that elbow grease in.
Scroll down to see the process, and the before and after.
